Brand Strategy

The new Sanxingdui Museum is like a fantastical multidimensional space, where the ancient and the real intertwine, and culture and art transcend the boundaries of time. The ancient civilization, after millennia, meets us here in the present moment. In this place, we encounter the spirits of ancient Shu and engage in a dialogue with the wisdom of the past through modern design.

Out of respect for this magical land, we believe that the design purpose this time has two aspects:
First, the wayfinding needs to be attached to the overall architecture, blending in while matching the temperament of the building;
Second, it should fulfill the guiding function for the massive crowd of visitors.
How can we take a step back to become a humble presence on the building's skin, while at the same time taking a step forward to embody the spirit of the place and convey the essence and connotation of the Sanxingdui Museum?

Site Analysis | Signage Design | Materials

The "Space-Time Helix" in the atrium of the building is the hub of the indoor circulation, with a 360° ramp connecting the main floors above and below ground of the new museum. At this location, we use glass in conjunction with aged stainless steel materials and the spiral ramp to create a unified effect, allowing information to "float" in a transparent and clean manner. While providing guidance, it minimizes the impact on visitors' photo taking to the greatest extent.
